The collection, created in the late 1970s, was assembled by Father Cecilio Lomoro, a Capuchin friar from Bari. The collection, previously exhibited in a hall of the Abbey of San Michele Arcangelo, is currently arranged in certain rooms of the Capuchin Fathers’ Convent, whose construction dates back to the 16th century, and includes pieces of Lucanian traditional culture, but not only that. Many of the objects are kept in storage, and others (the iron plows) are housed in an adjacent outdoor area owned by the same convent. The collection is very diverse and includes different types of objects and artifacts from multiple origins.
