La collection, born at the end of the 1970s, was assembled by Father Cecilio Lomoro, a Capuchin friar from Bari. The collection, previously displayed in a room of the Abbey of San Michele Arcangelo, is currently set up in some rooms of the Convent of the Capuchin Fathers, whose construction dates back to the 16th century, and includes pieces of the traditional Lucanian culture, but not only. Many of the objects are kept in a storage room and others (the iron plows) are hosted in an adjacent outdoor area owned by the same convent. The collection is very varied and accommodates different types of objects and artifacts from multiple origins.
