A helpful update for travelers flying with easyJet: the popular low-cost airline has announced that passengers can now bring a second piece of hand luggage on board.
This change takes effect from March 19, 2015, but applies only to specific types of passengers.

Access to the second easyJet cabin bag will be permitted for three categories of customers:

  • easyJet Plus cardholders;
  • those purchasing a ticket with the “FLEXI” fare;
  • travellers who, during booking, select seats with extra legroom or seats located at the front of the aircraft.

It’s important to note that the second allowed hand luggage must not be as large as the first—see our article on the hand and hold baggage size restrictions on easyJet flights.
Your second cabin bag must be small enough to fit under the seat in front of you.

So, you can bring on board a second item that’s about the size of a handbag or a laptop bag, as a reference for the maximum permitted size.
