Eagle Tavern Museum, Ozieri

Giuseppe Saba, native of Ozieri, collected and preserved from certain dispersion a remarkable quantity of common-use objects linked to peasant civilization and the ancient artisan shops of Ozieri. The Eagle Tavern, a display halfway between a tavern and an ethnographic museum, takes its name from an emblematic stuffed eagle, a gift from the family of the illustrious Ozieri painter Giuseppe Altana. The theme of the exhibit covers artisanal activities, peasant civilization, wine collecting, and mineralogy. Noteworthy is the collection of minerals and fossils from all over the world.
