Museo taverna dell’Aquila, Ozieri

Giuseppe Saba, native of Ozieri, collected, saving them from certain dispersion, a remarkable quantity of common use objects related to peasant civilization and the ancient artisan workshops of Ozieri. The Taverna dell’Aquila, an exhibition halfway between a tavern and an ethnographic museum, takes its name from an emblematic stuffed eagle, a gift from the family of the illustrious Ozieri painter Giuseppe Altana. The theme of the path concerns artisanal activities, peasant civilization, wine collecting and mineralogy. Noteworthy is the collection of minerals and fossils from all over the world.
