The refectory of the Ognissanti Convent is famous for the large fresco created in 1488 by Domenico Ghirlandaio.
The room, a typical hall refectory, preserves, in addition to the Last Supper and its sinopia, the ancient basins and the portal, dated 1488, and an Annunciation from the early 1400s.
In the adjoining church, you can admire two more works by Ghirlandaio: a Saint Jerome (1480) and a youthful Madonna of Mercy with the Deposition of Christ, commissioned by the Vespucci family.
Access to the refectory is through the cloister, frescoed with Stories of the Life of Saint Francis, from 1600 onwards, by Florentine painters including Jacopo Ligozzi and Giovanni da San Giovanni. Cenacle of Ognissanti Via Borgo Ognissanti, 42 – 50123 Florence
