Il refettorio del Convento di Ognissanti is famous for the large fresco created in 1488 by Domenico Ghirlandaio.
The room, a typical refectory hall, preserves, besides the Last Supper and its sinopia, the ancient washbasins and the portal, dated 1488, and an Annunciation from the early fifteenth century.
In the adjoining church, two other works by Ghirlandaio can be admired: a Saint Jerome (1480) and a youthful Madonna of Mercy with the Deposition of Christ, commissioned by the Vespucci family.
The refectory is accessed through the cloister, frescoed with Stories of the Life of Saint Francis, starting from 1600, by Florentine painters including Jacopo Ligozzi and Giovanni da San Giovanni. Cenacolo di Ognissanti Via Borgo Ognissanti, 42 – 50123 Florence
