The museum was established to safeguard the memory of local traditions. It collects and displays in two rooms tools, objects, costumes, and equipment related to the life and traditions of mountain people, particularly the trades of the woodcutter and charcoal maker. Outside, the charcoal pile has been reconstructed, with an open section to show the arrangement of the wood, and the hut where the charcoal makers lived during the season away from home.
