The collection is located inside the Cathedral of Saints Gervasius and Protasius, in the center of Città della Pieve.
Owned by the Church, it began to take shape in the post-World War II era as an exhibition of ecclesiastical objects and vestments from the adjacent city Cathedral and other churches in the Città della Pieve area. The location, currently closed for restoration, is being updated to comply with new architectural regulations.
Like many chapter collections in the area, this one is characterized by the presence of numerous sacred vestments and church furnishings, of interest for studying the evolution of minor arts and more specifically goldsmithing and textile history.
