The Agriculture Museum of Piedmont, thanks to the active commitment of the homonymous association, founded in 1977 by a group of professors from the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Turin and in collaboration with colleagues from the Faculty of Humanities, the order of Doctors in Agricultural Sciences, the provincial boards of surveyors, and representatives of professional organizations of farmers, has as its main objective the preservation of the cultural heritage of the agricultural world. The museum houses around 1,600 pieces: tools, historic agricultural machines.
The collections of the Museum consist of more than 1,600 objects (from simple tools to historic agricultural machines) inventoried, cataloged, and archived; the first 600 are documented in the first volume of the Catalog, published in 1986. Alongside the collection, registration, and preservation of the museum materials, the Agriculture Museum of Piedmont Association has promoted lively study and research activities.
