The Museum of Agriculture of Piedmont, thanks to the active commitment of the homonymous association, founded in 1977 by a group of professors from the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Turin and in collaboration with colleagues from the Faculty of Arts, the order of Doctors in agricultural sciences, the provincial boards of surveyors and representatives of professional organizations of farmers, has as its main objective the preservation of the cultural heritage of the agricultural world. The museum houses about 1600 pieces: tools, agricultural machines of historical interest.
The collections of the Museum amount to over 1600 objects (from simple tools to agricultural machines of historical interest) inventoried, filed and cataloged; the first 600 are documented in the first volume of the Catalog, published in 1986. Alongside the collection, filing and preservation of the museum material, the Museum of Agriculture of Piedmont Association has promoted a lively activity of study and research.
