Il museo intende essere un tributo alla vocazione di una terra e alla simbiosi stabilitasi tra questa e la sua gente. Since the Middle Ages, in fact, the chestnut was among the staple foods of mountain populations and represented one of the few products that animated a rustic and poor economy. Special for its characteristics, very sweet and of large size, unique to these latitudes, it has conquered national and foreign markets and today, as in the past, cared for with seasoned passion, it fuels an original gastronomic tradition. Tools, photographic material, ancient texts: everything exhibited testifies to the existence of a true civilization of very ancient origins that survives today, more prosperous than ever, using different cultivation techniques but with the same spirit of respect for Nature.
