Documenting the evolution of sound recording, from the first phonographic developments on wax cylinders in 1880, to the first recordings on 78 rpm records, up to new technologies. Part of the collection is a large collection of opera booklets from 1654 to 1900 and some records with recordings of the words of illustrious figures in our history, such as the inauguration speech of Victor Emmanuel III. Displayed are guitars owned and autographed by Robert Plant and Jimmy Page of “Led Zeppelin” and Bruce Springsteen, as well as a series of statues that reproduce, in various sizes and caricature forms, the greats of rock. The exhibition also includes the discography of the Cesena tenor Alessandro Bonci (1870-1930).
