The ancient Mill, thanks to the constant dedication passed down for four generations by the Cerruto family and the perfectly preserved environments, today represents an indispensable testimony of a now extinct peasant civilization, which lives again within the walls of this site. The museum includes the caves and various rooms rich in furnishings and utensils from the time, which perfectly reconstruct the peasant and domestic life of the miller’s family. The Mill, on the other hand, combines the knowledge of peasant ingenuity and art with the charm and suggestiveness of the places. The visit includes:
Initial description of the water mill scheme and the route
Corridor with various utensils
The loom room
The wood cave
Corridor with garden tools
The miller’s living quarters, the laundry, the stable, and the hayloft
The waterfalls, the canal, and the water collection basin
The water chamber with the paddle wheel in Arab style
The grinding room
The exhibition of stalactites and stalagmites
