The Synagogue and Museum of Jewish Art and History is set up on two floors: the first section documents the life of the community over the centuries and its relationship with the city.
In the display cases, there are textile and silver furnishings used for synagogue ceremonies dating from the late 16th to the 18th century. A second section exhibits objects and furnishings illustrating the most significant moments of life (birth, marriage, religious majority) and holidays.
The last room of this section, called the Memory Room, is dedicated to the history of the Community over the last two centuries: photographic and archival documents present the life of the Florentine Jews. Part of the museum path are two equipped rooms: one for screenings, with films and documentaries, the other equipped with computers connected to the databases of the major Jewish museums and research centers in the world.
