La Synagogue and museum of Jewish art and history is set up on two floors: a first section documents the life of the community over the centuries and its relationship with the city.
In the display cases are exhibited textile and silver furnishings used for synagogue ceremonies dating from the late 16th to the 18th century. A second section displays objects and furnishings that illustrate the most significant moments of life (birth, marriage, religious majority) and holidays.
The last room of this section, called the room of Memory, is dedicated to the history of the Community in the last two centuries: photographic and archival documents present the life of the Jewish Florentines. Part of the museum path are the two equipped rooms: one for projections, with films and documentaries, the other equipped with computers connected to the databases of the major Jewish museums and research centers in the world.
