The Museum is located in the educational area of Laterino in Siena. The exhibition aims to introduce the Antarctic continent with a particular focus on its geological, climatological, and environmental evolution. It preserves the geological and glaciological collections gathered during Italian expeditions to Antarctica. Visitors will explore Antarctica through films and interactive stations, observe Antarctic rocks and minerals, fossil and living plants, search for meteorites on a blue ice area, and find information about the preserved specimens.
