Ronchi di Manzano suggests two wines for Easter lunch, one white and one red.

The White

The Friulano, now available with the new vintage, stands out for its straw yellow color with greenish tints, intense aromas of wildflowers and ripe fruit. Its flavor is dry, full, smooth, with intense notes of barley candy, sweet almond, Abate pear and yellow apple, fresh aromatic herbs and hints of summer blooms with a distinct stony mineral finish. It goes perfectly with fluffy vegetable and egg pies as well as tasty herb omelets.

The Red

The Ronc di Subule, vintage 2013, has a deep ruby color, dense and consistent, with rich and complex aromas of blackberry jam, licorice, black pepper, and cloves. The palate is remarkable for balance and presence, with sweet tannins, a rich aftertaste, and a very long finish. It pairs beautifully with game, bold red meats, braised dishes, and boiled meats.
