The PAV is defined as a place of exchange, meeting, and gathering of artistic demands aimed at creating new social models, not simply an exhibition center, but rather a research area for artists working with organic matter, processuality, and the complexity of the biosphere.

The core of the permanent works mainly consists of Bioma, the interactive environmental installation by Piero Gilardi, and Trèfle, the plant organism by Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, which has already become a symbol. Alongside these permanent works, the Art Program, directed by Piero Gilardi and curated by Claudio Cravero, includes temporary exhibitions in the indoor spaces and the implementation of site-specific projects in the park of about 23,000 sqm curated by landscape architect Gianluca Cosmacini.
