The museum is linked to the thirty-year collecting activity of its curator, the teacher Tommaso Dattoli. The exhibition, arranged by Dattoli himself in three rooms, displays agricultural tools, household utensils, tools for artisan work, equipment, utensils for processing milk, wool, and broom. One area is dedicated to domestic life and the furnishings of traditional peasant houses. A significant and particularly interesting section consists of wooden objects (bread stamps, molds, and dolls). The collection comprises items belonging to the traditional Lucanian culture, with particular reference to the territory of San Severino Lucano.
