The Light Festival in Lyon is the destination we suggest today for planning the Immaculate Conception Holiday. In Lyon, everything is ready for this new edition of the Light Festival, scheduled from December 8th to 11th with about 70 fully illuminated projects.
The official start of the Fête des Lumières is set for 6:00 PM on December 8th in Place Bellecour: here will take place the first exciting lighting in Lyon, continuing in a festive atmosphere until 1:00 AM on the night between December 11th and 12th, when the event will conclude.
Every day, from 6 PM to midnight, the Light Festival will illuminate Lyon with true abstract yet very colorful monuments, architectures made of multicolor lights and – particularly this year – also extraordinary 3D effects, clearly visible on the facade of the Théâtre des Célestins in Place des Célestins.
The heart of the Light Festival in Lyon is Place des Terreaux and its Bartholdi Fountain, while the Parc de la Tête d’Or will offer enchantments from artists, tightrope walkers, and strange characters inhabiting the “land of fire“.

Plus, projections, Indian villages created by lights on the banks of the Rhone, themed exhibitions, shows, and much more, all under the sign of light, in all its facets, colors, and carefully orchestrated plays, between LEDs, clean energy lighting, recycled materials, and above all plenty of imagination combined with rigorous studies.
Every corner of the city will be decorated in the spirit of the Light Festival, to offer a magical Immaculate Conception Holiday in Lyon to anyone who wants to experience this beautiful event now in its twelfth edition.
