On July 5, 1937, the Guardia di Finanza inaugurated its own Historical Museum in Rome, in some rooms of the “Piave” Barracks, similar to other museums of the Armed Forces, gathering relics of its past up to those from the Italo-Ethiopian War of 1935-1936.
In 1960, the Museum was moved to larger premises within the Barracks that then hosted the Academy of the Corps, enriched with relics from the 1940-1943 war and the Resistance period of 1943-1945.
