On July 5, 1937, the Guardia di Finanza inaugurated in Rome, in some premises of the “Piave” Barracks, its own Historical Museum, similar to other analogous ones of the Armed Forces, gathering there the relics of its past up to those of the Italo-Ethiopian war 1935-1936.
In 1960 the Museum was moved to larger premises, in the Barracks then home to the Academy of the Corps, enriched with the relics of the 1940-1943 war and the period of the Resistance 1943-1945.
