The museum “Casa Natale di Gabriele d’Annunzio” occupies the first floor of the building where the Poet was born and spent his childhood, and still preserves the original nineteenth-century atmosphere, with its elegant wall decorations and period furnishings, which reappear in his work as visions, impressions, and memories, especially linked to the deep significance that family affections held for him.
The visit retraces the sequence of the first five rooms, which compose the original core of the house-museum. For each room, the description provided by the Poet in Notturno is displayed. The subsequent rooms are used to exhibit photos, documents, books, casts, and memorabilia that represent the figure of the Poet.
