The Diocesan Museum of San Marco Argentano is located in the historic Church of San Giovanni, no longer open for worship, and was inaugurated on May 25, 2006. The museum area is arranged on two levels: on the ground floor, sacred silverware from the 17th and 18th centuries is exhibited, and on the upper floor, sacred vestments and paintings spanning a time range from the 16th to the 18th century are displayed. Among the valuable works are the 13th-century reliquary cross in laminated and embossed silver and the bust of Saint Nicholas, also in silver, commissioned by Bishop Nicola Brescia in 1765 and most likely originating from the workshop of Filippo Del Giudice.
