Il Museo Diocesano di San Marco Argentano is located in the historic church of San Giovanni, no longer open for worship, and was inaugurated on May 25, 2006. The museum area is arranged on two levels: on the ground floor is displayed the sacred silverware of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, and on the upper floor are placed the sacred vestments and paintings spanning a time period from the sixteenth to the eighteenth century. Among the valuable works are the thirteenth-century silver laminated and embossed reliquary cross and the bust of Saint Nicholas, also in silver, commissioned by Bishop Nicola Brescia in 1765 and most likely from the workshop of Filippo Del Giudice.
