“The archaeological site is located in the evocative underground spaces of the Baroque cathedral where the exhibition path winds through the archaeological remains. During restoration, traces of Bronze Age huts, tombs dating from the 5th to the 3rd century BC, a medieval burial ground, and the remains of the crypt of the Romanesque cathedral were brought to light. The exhibition features a rich collection of archaeological artifacts, beautiful sculptures that survived the destruction of the Romanesque cathedral, a 16th-century illuminated cross, crucifixes, and statues ranging from the 14th to the 18th century.”
