The House Museum aims to enhance the historical memories linked to the territory, starting from the archaeological collection “Ribezzi” related to the Messapian site of “Muro Tenente,” which for over two centuries was mostly owned by the Ribezzi family. On the lower floor, the archaeological exhibition set up by the Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage of Puglia is currently underway and is titled: “Muro Tenente, a disputed archaeological site.” Also displayed in rooms faithful to a bourgeois family dwelling from the 17th to 20th centuries are period furniture, parchments, books, paintings, weapons, documents, coins, and more, concerning not only the family but also the town of Latiano, its most illustrious figures, and its history.
