The 19th-century Parpaglia Palace has hosted since 1992 the Antiquarium Arborense Archaeological Museum, dedicated to the illustrious Oristano scholar Giuseppe Pau, with a vast archaeological collection of very ancient pieces dating back to various periods.
The Archaeological Museum displays a fine retables room, featuring works such as the altarpiece of Saint Martin (15th century), the altarpiece of the Holy Christ (1533), and the altarpiece of the Madonna of the Councilors (1565).
It is also possible to view the reconstructed model of the city of Tharros in the 4th century AD and the reconstructed model of the city of Oristano in the 14th century (judicial period).
