The nineteenth-century Parpaglia palace has housed since 1992 the Archaeological Museum Antiquarium Arborense, dedicated to the illustrious Oristano scholar Giuseppe Pau, with a vast archaeological collection of very ancient pieces dating back to various epochs.
The Archaeological Museum exhibits a fine retable room, with works such as the retable of Saint Martin (15th century), the retable of the Holy Christ (1533), and the retable of the Madonna of the Counselors (1565).
It is also possible to view the reconstruction model of the city of Tharros in the 4th century AD and the reconstruction model of the city of Oristano in the 14th century (judicial period).
