Inaugurated in 2000, it is dedicated to the Bolognese events in the final part of the Second World War. The visitor is immersed in the suggestions of the past through a narrative path that recalls the events related to the attempted, successful, breakthrough of the Gothic Line. The space of the Memorial is indeed divided into five scenes, from the TODT roundup to the breakthrough of the Gothic Line by the American army, arranged with dioramas and made evocative thanks to the use of special effects. It also offers the viewing of an exclusive 16 mm film on the liberation of Bologna and an exhibition of over 50 original military vehicles, among which stands out a fully functional Sherman tank.
