Istituted in 1998, it illustrates the stages of Ducati’s competitive motorcycling commitment from the post-World War II era to today. A mention of the tradition and the company’s foundation in the early 1920s offers the initial display of electrical, radio, photographic, and cinematographic equipment related to the first productions that made the brand famous. The heart of the journey consists of the presentation of twenty-six motorcycles, exhibited in nine “stages,” along a circular illuminated “track,” at the center of which a large helmet-shaped structure contains a multimedia room. Around it are six environments equipped with engines and some mechanical components, drawings, photographic images, illustrative brochures, and historical videos of mechanical techniques and major sporting achievements, which illustrate the different motorcycles made over time, thus reconstructing the entire evolutionary history of the engine: from the “Cucciolo,” the first product of 1946, to the application of the Desmodromic distribution system that characterizes Ducati engines, to the “Marianna,” the parallel twin-cylinder trail engine and the bevel gear engine, to the “Pantah” but also to the more recent competition motorcycles that have competed in the “Superbike” category. The gift shop offers clothing items, posters, books, and examples of Ducati merchandise.
