Istituted in 1998, it illustrates the stages of Ducati’s competitive motorcycle commitment from the postwar period to today. A nod to tradition and the founding of the company in the early 1920s offers the initial display of electrical, radio, photographic, and cinematographic equipment related to the first productions that made the brand renowned. The heart of the journey is made up of the presentation of twenty-six motorcycles, displayed in nine “stages,” along a circular illuminated “track,” at the center of which is a large helmet-shaped structure containing a multimedia room. Around it are six environments equipped with engines and some mechanical parts, drawings, photographic images, brochures, and historical videos of mechanical techniques and major sporting achievements, illustrating the various motorcycles made over time, thus reconstructing the entire evolutionary history of the engine: from the “Cucciolo,” the first product of 1946, to the application of the Desmodromic distribution system that distinguishes Ducati engines, to the “Marianna,” the parallel twin-cylinder trail engine and the bevel gear engine, to the “Pantah” but also the more recent racing motorcycles that have competed in the “Superbike” category. The gift shop offers clothing, posters, books, and examples of Ducati merchandise.
