The exhibition space Fondazione Roma Museo, formerly Museo del Corso, was established in 1999 by the will and initiative of Prof. Avv. Emmanuele F.M. Emanuele, President of the Roma Foundation.
Since 1999, the Museo del Corso has held over fifty temporary exhibitions, in collaboration with the most prestigious international museum institutions, including the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid, the State Museum of St. Petersburg, the Pushkin Museum and the Kremlin Museum in Moscow, the Louvre Museum, the Palace Museum in Beijing, the Gemäldegalerie in Berlin, The Honolulu Academy of Arts, the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York.
The Foundation’s activity is characterized not only by the value of temporary exhibitions but also by the search for innovative solutions aimed at bringing as many people as possible closer to art, through cultural enrichment paths such as seminars, conferences, shows, and themed events.
Starting from November 2010, the Museum expanded its programming by offering simultaneous exhibitions, thanks to the opening of the new exhibition space at Palazzo Sciarra – Via Minghetti 22 – which adds to the already existing space at Palazzo Cipolla – Via del Corso 320.
