Il Museo del Bigallo brings together artworks, scattered over time, that once belonged to the Compagnia del Bigallo, an entity active since the Middle Ages in works of charity and assistance.
Since July 2007 the museum route has been expanded with the opening on the second floor of the permanent exhibition: Leonardo in Florence. Scientific or interactive reproductions of machines and drawings by the great master are exhibited there, together with original works such as Durer’s engraving of the Vinci knot.
