Il Museo del Bigallo gathers artworks, dispersed over time, formerly belonging to the Compagnia del Bigallo, an entity active since the Middle Ages in charity and assistance work.
Since July 2007, the museum route has been expanded with the opening on the second floor of the permanent exhibition: Leonardo in Florence. It displays scientific or interactive reproductions of machines and drawings by the great master, alongside original works such as Durer’s engraving of the Vinci knot.
