The Bigallo Museum brings together works of art, dispersed over time, that once belonged to the Compagnia del Bigallo, an institution active since the Middle Ages in charitable and assistance works.
Since July 2007, the museum route has been expanded with the opening of a permanent exhibition on the second floor: Leonardo in Florence. It features scientific or interactive reproductions of machines and drawings by the great master, along with original works such as Durer’s engraving of the knot from Vinci.
