Rodolfo Siviero, known for having directed for many years the “Delegation for the Recovery of Artworks” of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and for having brought back to Italy hundreds of masterpieces disappeared during the last world war, left upon his death in 1983 his home with all the works and furnishings contained therein to the Tuscany Region, with the condition of using the property as a museum open to the public.
Currently, the apartment on the ground floor of the building is visitable. In the coming years, renovation works will be carried out to open the entire house to the public.
