Bagnata dal Caribbean Sea, the city of Quintana Roo actually comprises two areas. The city itself is located on the mainland, while the island (with its distinctive shape resembling the number 7, stretching 22 kilometers) mostly hosts hotel chains. Two bridges connect the island to the Mexican mainland: one over the Nichupte channel, the other over the opposite Nizuc channel.
Landing at Cancun airport, second in Mexico for traffic volume and security level, you have a wide range of proposals to discover. One of the main attractions of Cancun is certainly the possibility to practice exciting activities, thanks to over 25 water sports centers managed with minimal environmental impact.
Surrounded by the fabulous waters of the Caribbean Sea, home to the Mesoamerican Great Barrier Reef (the second largest in the world), you cannot help but dive and admire the extraordinary underwater world. Beginners or experts can engage not only in snorkeling and scuba diving but also in surfing, windsurfing, parasailing, and fishing (both fly fishing and deep-sea).
