In recent decades, Genoa has strongly rediscovered its vocation for tourism, offering, also in terms of hospitality, renovated and upgraded facilities, new hotels and a network of B&Bs, guesthouses, boarding houses…to make any European capital envious.

In beautiful Genoa, rich in palaces, churches, theaters and historic gardens, tourists can easily indulge in a wide range of accommodations: from starred hotels, which best interpret the maritime soul of the city, to simpler B&Bs (several of which are also housed in historic palaces and charming noble residences), where the service is still attentive and careful, proving to be excellent bases for visiting the historic center and the main attractions.

But beyond Genoa, the entire Liguria region is a small mecca of hospitality; one of the first Italian regions to grapple with mass tourism, helped by the border position with France and, naturally, thanks to the sea, the coast and the fascinating hinterland. For many decades, the Ligurian coast has been, especially for northwestern Italians, synonymous with beach holidays, second homes, a weekend getaway.
