Fare trekking on Lake Iseo: an experience possible at any time of the year, recommended for everyone, as the suggested itinerary is easy, suitable for all.

The idea is to set off on the Ancient Via Valeriana, the stretch from Pilzone to Pisogne, about thirty kilometers long, well marked thanks to the signs: a yellow and brown “V” leads along this route, very scenic and pleasant, especially in autumn and spring, when the colors brighten the landscape.
Thanks to the project “Sebino, a Rediscovered Identity” a path has been developed that manages to emphasize not only the beauty of the territory but also the ancient history of these places.

The trekking itinerary on the Ancient Via Valeriana recommended can start from Pisogne, immediately encountering the church of Santa Maria della Neve described by Vittorio Testori as “the Sistine Chapel of the poor” because of the Romanino frescoes.

Then continue towards Zone, where the Zone Cross is located at 903 meters above sea level, the highest point reached on the route. Also worth visiting is the church of S. Giorgio and definitely to be closely observed here are the Erosion Pyramids, earth columns formed by erosion phenomena, truly spectacular.

The next stop will be Marone, with the hermitage of San Pietro in Vinculis. Then it will be the turn of Sale Marasino and the parish church of S. Antonio, the Sanctuary of Madonna della Neve in the locality of Gandizzano and the church of S. Giacomo in Maspiano.
