La via degli Dei is a hiking trail that connects the cities of Bologna and Florence. The path stretches along the Apennines and the road’s name most likely derives from the places it passes through: Monte Adone, Monzuno, Monte Venere, and Monte Lunario.

The route is about 120 kilometers long and is divided into five daily stages. It starts from Bologna and immediately passes through the wonderful Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca, continues towards Casalecchio di Reno, and upon reaching Sasso Marconi, you can admire places from past eras such as the Ponte di Vizzano, the Roman aqueduct, and the San Gherardo oasis.

Among the natural areas, you reach the evocative Natural Reserve and protected area of the Pliocene Buttress where significant fossil evidence is preserved.

A historical and naturalistic journey, among centuries-old chestnut trees and ancient constructions, including: the Bosco ai Frati convent, the Trebbio Castle, and the Roman theater and its acropolis in Fiesole.

Renaissance Florence is the cherry on top of the finale of a varied journey, immersed in a historical and cultural atmosphere more unique than rare.
