The municipality of Mezzana includes the localities of Mezzana, Marilleva, Marilleva 900, and Marilleva 1400.
These latter localities are connected by a cable car which is in turn connected with the other ski lifts of Folgarida and Madonna di Campiglio.
The municipality is bathed by the Noce river and topped by the Paganella Dolomite ranges and the Ortles Cevedale.
The vegetation grows luxuriantly and it is possible to closely observe the typical flora of mountain areas such as firs, larches, and pines.
The state of conservation of this beautiful territory is also protected by a forward-looking local administration that aims at preserving natural heritage through sustainable and careful tourism.
Once upon a time the Val di Sole mainly had an agricultural and pastoral economy; today these activities remain the core of the social and economic life of the inhabitants, but additionally there is extra income derived from tourism.
The Val di Sole offers a different face depending on the season you visit. During the cold season Marilleva transforms into the perfect ski resort – see the details – where all winter sports enthusiasts can unleash their desire for snow and mountains.
In spring and summer Marilleva and the Val di Sole can offer a complete holiday able to satisfy many needs.
Food and wine itineraries, excursions, museum visits and a rich calendar of events.
Not to forget the hospitality of the local people which is directly reflected in one of the most appreciated hotel reception services in Italy. Discover more about Val di Sole and Marilleva!
