Near the homonymous city gate is the church of S. Maria della Tomba, built in the 12th century but repeatedly restored.
The facade features the horizontal crowning typical of Abruzzi Romanesque and is divided by a stringcourse that separates the main portal from the rose window, both from the 15th century. To the right connects the building that housed the old hospital built in 1424 which today preserves the facade with a bifora, while the bell tower dates back to 1579.
