Near the homonymous city gate stands the Church of Santa Maria della Tomba, built in the 12th century but renovated several times.
The facade features the typical horizontal crowning of Abruzzo Romanesque style and is divided by a string course that separates the main portal from the rose window, both from the 15th century. On the right is the building that housed the ancient hospital founded in 1424, which today preserves the facade with a two-light window, while the bell tower dates back to 1579.
