In the city of Rome, since 2003, there has been a new meeting point for culture and art: the Crocetti Museum, in memory and tribute to the Great Artist who passed away. A spacious and elegant space located in the very place where the Artist lived and had his studio, at Via Cassia number 492, in the Tomba di Nerone area. 60
The Museum, spread over 3 floors, is part of a complex of buildings that also includes the headquarters of the Venanzo Crocetti Foundation, the Sculptor’s atelier, and a multifunctional room where we organize exhibitions of other artists, conferences, concerts, and book presentations. The Crocetti Museum houses works created by the Sculptor over a creative career spanning seventy years.
Among the masterpieces on display are The Knight of Peace (1987), a poetic and stylistically perfect work in terms of proportions and sinuosity of forms, Girl by the River (1934), Sketch for the Door of St. Peter in the Vatican from ’58, Magdalene (1973 – 76) with explosive drapery, the creature in the wind of life, Model arranging her hair from ’85. The Museum opens with a splendid bronze Door featuring reliefs on the theme of human labor, study, astronomical observations, and the arts and crafts of man, with great emotional impact.
