Wide beaches, flooded with light; coves with a lunar charm; explosions of granite rocks; tiny islands; simple and sunny towns are the core features of the welcoming Gold Coast.

Must-visit stops include Tylosand, in the county of Halland, also called the Swedish Riviera because of its golden beaches, elegant hotels, and popular golf courses. Falkenberg, famous for salmon fishing; Varberg, a town with a dual personality: both a spa and a whaling town, featuring a very busy harbor from which you can also embark to Denmark, and home to an impressive 13th-century fortress.

To the south of Kungsbacka, rises the scenic Tjoloholm Castle, built in Tudor style in the early 1900s, framed by a beautiful garden and characterized by Art Nouveau interiors.
