Wide beaches flooded with light; coves with a lunar charm; bursts of granite rocks; Lilliputian islands; simple and sunny towns are the hallmarks of the welcoming Golden Coast.
Must-visit stops include Tylosand, in the county of Halland, also called the Swedish Côte d’Azur, due to its golden beaches, elegant hotels, and very popular golf courses. Falkenberg, famous for salmon fishing; Varberg, a town with a dual soul: both thermal and seaside, with a very busy port from which you can also embark for Denmark, and featuring an imposing 13th-century fortress.
To the south of Kungsbacka, rises the scenic Tjoloholm Castle, built in Tudor style at the beginning of the 1900s, framed by a beautiful garden and characterized by Art Nouveau interiors.
