Those who choose Bardonecchia for their winter holidays will find not only ski slopes and modern lifts, but also a full range of services for a truly relaxing 360° mountain break. Bardonecchia is home to two ski areas: Colomion-Les Arnaud-Melezet and Jafferau, offering around 100 kilometers of skiable slopes and about ten well-prepared kilometers for snowshoeing.
The pistes cater to all levels: beginners can take their first runs in the Colomion area, while more experienced skiers will enjoy the Bosticcio run. Intermediates can challenge themselves on the Fisi50, for example. Bardonecchia also features zones for freestyle skiers and snowboarders, plus snowtubing for younger visitors.

For cross-country skiing, head to Pian del Colle and Valle Stretta. But it’s mountaineering and ski touring that truly define this area, one of the first in Italy—if not the very first—to develop a deep connection with these sports, dedicating trails and hosting events and competitions.
Lastly, a very popular winter activity is winter biking—mountain biking on snow using bikes with studded tires. For a winter getaway in Piedmont, a ski week in Bardonecchia is an excellent choice.
