La Casa-Museo aims to enhance the historical memories connected to the territory, starting from the archaeological collection “Ribezzi” related to the Messapian site of “Muro Tenente” which for over two centuries was mostly owned by the Ribezzi family. On the lower floor, the archaeological exhibition set up by the Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage of Puglia is currently underway and titled: “Muro Tenente, an disputed archaeological site.” Also displayed in rooms faithful to a bourgeois family home from the 17th-20th centuries are period furniture, parchments, books, paintings, weapons, documents, coins, and more concerning, besides the family, the town of Latiano, its most illustrious personalities, and its history.
